Consumer Brands continues to monitor the ever-evolving pandemic. This position will interview, onboard and work remotely for the foreseeable future and will be expected to be regularly available in the DC-Metro area when federal, state and local guidance support a safe return to face-to-face meetings.

The manager, member insights owns data measurement, benchmarking and providing actionable insights for Consumer Brands’ engagement with members and prospects. Reporting directly to the director, industry engagement this person manages the association database, supporting all day-to-day activities from data capture through report and list creation. The manager conducts industry research and data-driven analysis, communicating findings that identify opportunities to enhance processes, engagement tactics and industry intelligence.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Member Analysis and Research

  • Conduct research on member prospects and current members, including recommending potential value proposition or recruitment approach.
  • Research and analyze company sales data to generate company dues and projections.
  • Monitor industry and member trends, including reviewing earnings reports, staying abreast of member and prospect organizational developments to inform membership dues renewals and preserving database accuracy and integrity.
  • Collect, track and aggregate information on all member company facilities.
  • Build and maintain distribution and mailing lists and recommend list composition.
  • Develop a plan and tactics to audit and maintain association management system (AMS) data records.
  • Partner with AMS vendor to address issues, obtain metrics and provide feedback to accelerate system enhancements.

Database Management

  • Manage existing information systems to ensure consistency and accuracy in capturing engagement data (e.g. service utilization, event attendance, click-through rates on resources, etc.).
  • Disseminate data and reports to improve staff intelligence on membership engagement.
  • Create a sustainable engagement score for member companies and regularly report results.
  • Analyze member participation metrics and identify opportunities to increase engagement with members.
  • Proactively monitor member lists to maximize communication channels to new and current members.

Experience & Education

  • 4 years of experience required in data management or content analytics.
  • 2+ years in a professional services environment required.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop proficiency in new systems and digital applications.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into practical intelligence and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to create measurable improvements to analysis and processes using existing tools and resources.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage deadlines and budgets and work with little supervision.
  • Solid interpersonal communications skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  •  Strong collaborator with the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
