Jen Daulby is senior vice president of government affairs at the Consumer Brands Association. In addition to leading the organization’s integrated approach to advocacy, Daulby oversees federal and state government affairs.
A skilled government affairs and communications strategist, Daulby has extensive legal and policy experience and has provided analysis of complex federal issues for members of Congress and congressional committees. In her most recent role as minority staff director for the House Administration Committee, she drove a proactive agenda and coordinated high-profile operations with a commitment to bipartisan outreach. She also oversaw legislative branch operations including the Library of Congress, the Government Publishing Office and the Smithsonian, and on-boarded 48 new members of the 2021 House freshman class.
Previously, she served as chief of staff to Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., and was a key figure in his re-election during a time of heightened political stratification. During more than 10 years on Capitol Hill, Daulby also served as counsel for both Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, and the House Agriculture Committee.
Daulby’s time in government is paired with robust private sector experience with two consumer-facing Fortune 500 companies. Early in her career, she served as a director of government affairs for both Monsanto and Land O’Lakes, where she developed lobbying strategies in a variety of issue areas including intellectual property, food safety and ethics compliance.
Daulby holds a law degree from Southern Illinois University, where she served as president of the Student Bar Association, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University. She volunteers as an assistant coach for her daughter’s cross-country team and is the former vice president of the school’s parent-teacher organization. She lives in Alexandria, Va. and has never met a chocolate bar she didn’t love.
