About the CPG Legal Forum

When is the event? The 2025 CPG Legal Forum will be held February 26-28, 2025. We recommend arriving at the resort by 12:00 p.m. on February 26 and departing after 1:00 p.m. on February 28.

Where is the event? The 2025 CPG Legal Forum will take place at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, located at 4000 Coronado Bay Rd, Coronado, CA 92118.

Who should attend this event? The CPG Legal Forum is the premier gathering curated for in-house attorneys and senior legal professionals of the CPG manufacturing community as well as retailers, and sponsoring law firms who want to connect and hear perspectives on the most complex legal issues facing CPG whether regulatory, business, or litigation. In addition to actionable insights, the CPG Legal Forum will provide CLE credits. For companies or law firms that partner with the CPG industry, a limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available. To discuss and secure sponsorship, please contact Mario Grande. 

What is the schedule of events for the CPG Legal Forum? The full program and schedule of events are still being developed. Please check the CPG Legal Forum agenda for the most up-to-date agenda and event information as it becomes available.

What will the discussion be about at the CPG Legal Forum? The CPG Legal Forum will offer dynamic content with expert insights and actionable strategies, covering an array of important and timely legal issues, including protecting brands from litigation risks, complying with government regulations and understanding the legal implications of policy and business operations. If you have topics you would like to see covered in a session that matter to you and your company, please reach out to us.

Do you welcome spouses or partners? Spouses and partners are welcome to stay at the venue. However, all activities during the CPG Legal Forum are exclusive to attendees.

About CLE Credits

Can I earn CLE credits for attending? Yes, you can earn CLE credits by attending the CPG Legal Forum. Consumer Brands has a dedicated team to process requests for state approval. Please note that event accreditation varies by state and Consumer Brands will make every effort to process your request if it is received by January 1.

Is there an additional fee for CLE credits? No. The CLE credits you can obtain at the CPG Legal Forum are included in the registration fee.

How do I make sure I get my CLE credits? During the registration process, you will be able to select state(s) and input your bar number(s) for CLE credits. The Consumer Brands team will then file for credit and communicate with attendees what states have been approved for CLE credit.

What if I forgot to select states or need to modify my state selections for CLE credits? If you’ve already completed registration, you can modify your attendee record to include your preferred state(s) and bar number(s) for CLE credits. Instructions to modify your registration record can be found in your confirmation email. Please contact [email protected] if you did not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of registering.

What is the Ethics Session? The Ethics Session takes place on Wednesday, February 26 and provides the opportunity for participants to earn specific ethics CLE credit(s). This session will provide attendees with information that aligns with requirements for ethics CLE credits, as defined by each state’s CLE guidelines. If you are interested in attending the course, please sign up as soon as possible on the registration page. Space is limited and registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is the Sustainability Workshop? New for 2025, this session will feature perspectives from outside counsel working in collaboration with Consumer Brands. This 60-minute session will be part of our in-person pre-conference programming to follow our Legal Affairs Council and preceding the Ethics Session. This content will include practical exploration of climate science and claim substantiation vetting, as well as discussion of compliance strategies for federal guidance and the ever-changing patchwork of state regulations on environmental laws affecting the CPG industry. As with all our programming, CLE will be available for select jurisdictions. If you are interested in attending the course, please sign up as soon as possible on the registration page. Space is limited and registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transportation, Hotel and Attire

How do I get to Loews Coronado Bay? San Diego International Airport (SAN) is a convenient 20-minute drive from Loews Coronado Bay. Driving to the island of Coronado requires crossing the San Diego-Coronado bridge, so we encourage attendees to consider potential traffic in your travel plans.

How do I book my hotel room? After completing registration, your confirmation email will include a dedicated link to reserve a room at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in the Consumer Brands room block starting at $289/night during the conference from Tuesday, February 25 through Friday, February 28. Rooms are limited and we encourage all attendees to book immediately upon registration, and before the cut-off on February 5. Please use this link to book your hotel room. Consumer Brands does not use any third-parties to book hotel reservations or sell rooms on its behalf for the CPG Legal Forum. If you receive any such requests or communications, please contact Consumer Brands. 

Are there any other fees associated with the room block? Room rates will be taxed at a rate of 12.55% in accordance with state and local laws. The nightly resort fee has been waived for CPG Legal Forum Attendees who book within the dedicated group block. Amenities include high speed internet access on up to three devices, 20% off spa treatments, welcome beverage upon arrival, in-room coffee, tea, and water, boarding pass printing, free local and toll-free calls, daily group fitness classes, fitness center and studio access, and more.

Is parking available at the venue? Self-parking is available for $20 per vehicle, per day. Valet is available for $50 per vehicle, per day.

What is the dress code? Most attendees at the CPG Legal Forum will embrace business casual attire. Weather at Coronado Bay in late February will range from lows in the 50s to highs in the 70s. We encourage attendees to bring or wear layers to account for varying temperatures and outdoor functions.

Event Registration

What’s the difference between registration options? The CPG Legal Forum is open to senior legal professionals at CPG companies, retailers, suppliers and sponsoring law firms. Members of Consumer Brands receive early bird pricing in addition to discounted rates. Pricing for each category can be found on the registration and sponsorship pages.

I would like to bring multiple members of my team, is there a group rate? Register a team of at least three people to receive an $100 discount per attendee. Group rates are available at member and non-member pricing. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Policies

Registration Cancellation

Registrants may cancel and receive a refund, excluding the $250 transaction fee, by Friday, January 10, 2025. Cancellations received after January 10 are non-refundable. Registrations may be transferred to another member of your company at any time without penalty. All cancellation, refund, and transfer requests must be made in writing to [email protected].

Recording and Photography

During the course of the Consumer Brands CPG Legal Forum, our team, including contractors, will be documenting the event with still photography as well as video recording. This plays a vital role in documenting the experience, celebrating leadership of the CPG industry and our members, and promoting additional participation for future events. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Consumer Brands Association. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar Consumer Brands Association events in the future and highlight the event. Additionally, you agree to release Consumer Brands, its officers and employees, from liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.
