Leveraging Legal Affairs

The consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is proactively shaping its legal and regulatory environment to reduce risk, support compliance and protect its ability to innovate and serve consumers.

Through coordinated advocacy and strategic legal action, CPG companies work in collaboration with the Consumer Brands Association to advance industry-wide positions on key issues such as digital disclosure, reliance on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) role as a primary authoritative source for product safety and labeling, the finality of legal verdicts, protecting the ability of brands to communicate their sustainability efforts, enforceability of settlements and supporting the First Amendment.

What We Do

Navigate legal uncertainty for the CPG industry for our members to mitigate brand risk, support innovation and gain clarity on legal issues impacting their business.

Advance industry-wide positions on key issues to strengthen the industry’s collective voice.

Convene the CPG Legal Community for timely, in-depth expert panels and roundtables on the top issues impacting the CPG industry, as well as providing the opportunity to receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
