Consumer Brands Stands Ready to Work with New USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Consumer Brands Association issued the following statement from Sarah Gallo, senior vice president of federal affairs in response to Brooke Rollins confirmation as secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture:

 

“Consumer Brands congratulates Brooke Rollins on her appointment as Secretary of the USDA. Food safety is the number one priority of the consumer packaged goods industry. The USDA plays a vital role in our food supply, from implementing rigorous quality standards that ensure the foods and beverages we consume are safe, to developing critical nutrition programs for students and families, to promoting U.S. exports and advancement of the rural economy where many in our industry live and work. As the largest domestic manufacturing employer, supporting more than 22 million American jobs, we stand ready to work with Secretary Rollins to protect the country’s resilient supply chain and ensure all Americans have access to a wide variety of safe, affordable and convenient product choices.”
