Mike Liptak

Mike Liptak is the Vice President of Federal Affairs of the Consumer Brands Association, leading all federal strategic and tactical functions to support the priorities and campaigns of our industry’s Supply Chain, Packaging Sustainability, and Product pillars.

Liptak joined the Consumer Brands Association after serving for seven years as vice president of government relations at the Travel Technology Association (Travel Tech) where he developed and championed the policy priorities of the independent travel distribution industry. Prior to Travel Tech, Liptak was director of government affairs for the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, representing our nation’s aggregate industry while highlighting the importance of maintaining and expanding a strong infrastructure throughout the United States.

Liptak began his time in the nation’s capital as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and brings to the association an extensive political background, having worked on several House and Senate campaigns in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

A graduate of Grove City College, he lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two children. While he loves every Consumer Brands Association member company equally, as a Pennsylvania native he claims nothing beats a full container of Utz pretzel rods.
