This additional 3-hour session is a deep dive into the world of USDA labeling. It will include information on completing USDA label transmittals including using the LSAS system, generic label approvals, temporary approvals and dealing with extenuating circumstances.  Also discussed during this session will be USDA’s standard of identities, including information on the required calculations, when qualifying statements are needed and on understanding FSIS documents.  Participants are encouraged to bring any specific FSIS questions that they have.
