Post Holdings is building a new site in Norwalk, Iowa, that is expected to create around 150 new jobs in the area after its completion. The 150,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility will be part of Post’s Michael Foods business, the largest processor of value-added eggs in the United States.
“We looked at numerous locations in the Midwest, and Norwalk had many advantages. We look forward to Michael Foods becoming a preferred employer in the area and being part of the community,” said Steve Schonhoff, senior vice president of integrated supply chain.
The $85 million project is located on a 33-acre site and will process eggs and pre-cooked egg products.
