3M donates $30k and thousands of volunteer hours to Kentucky community

Nestled away 30 miles north of Lexington sits Cynthiana — a small town with a big impact. The 3M location in Cynthiana produces Post-it Notes and Scotch Tape and has been a constant presence in the area since 1969. The company is the largest employer in Harrison County, with more than 550 3M employees based at the Cynthiana location.

But 3M Cynthiana does more than just stimulate the local economy. Its employees are highly engaged in the community, giving $30,000 to the United Community Fund annually and 2,500 local volunteer hours per year. 3M grants are frequently given to organizations in the community, including the Hospice Building Fund, Project Lead the Way, Veteran’s Park and Harrison County Senior Citizens, to name a few.
